ERIC 950TM

Effective Residual Ink Concentration
950 nm. Precise. Original.

Technidyne, in association with PAPRICAN, introduced the ERIC 950TM technology in the mid 1990’s and since then the technology has become an essential tool for deinking facilities around the world.  By converting the infrared reflectance measurements of paper to a coefficient for light absorption, ERIC 950TM technology provides a control parameter specifically to measure the residual ink content.  From the residual ink measurement, ERIC 950TM provides the data for determining how much deinking and/or bleaching is necessary to achieve a target brightness, and an “inkless brightness” (the resulting brightness if all ink is removed).  Several readings may be averaged automatically for more precise characterization of samples.

Each of the products below can be equipped with the Technidyne ERIC 950 function.
